Background

For over twenty years, I have been the CFO for several high technology startup companies in the computer industry, medical device and semiconductor manufacturing. I feel very fortunate to have participated in the phenomenal growth of the Silicon Valley.

I have written business plans, helped raise startup funds, set up accounting systems and managed accounting functions during periods of very rapid company growth. As CFO, my job was to produce timely and accurate financial reports to management, handle the administrative details and prevent financial surprises.

In addition to supporting other CEOs and entrepreneurs, I have started and lead several small businesses myself.

In 2006 I formed Alimar Development Corporation and built a 12 unit commercial flex space project in Reno, NV. We hope to build again once the demand for additional space returns in northern Nevada.

Recently I blended my passion for startups and working with the developing world to start two new companies. TeachAmerica.Asia places teachers in hard to fill special education teaching positions and New World Springs is a distributor of safe water systems for the developing world.

Currently I am looking to help one or two small to medium sized companies as their part-time CFO.
